D’Marsh Couture
Glenroy March is a Jamaican-born, New York based fashion designer who launched his brand House of D’Marsh in Spring 2003 to coincide his debut collection presented during Caribbean Fashion Week in Kingston. The award-winning designer received his early training from top Caribbean fashion house Uzuri International, where he excelled as an intern assistant designer.
With an eye for detail and perfection, March honed his design skills at the prestigious American Academy of Dramatic Arts in New York, obtaining practical experience while working in the costume department. At the age of 21, March represented Jamaica at the internationally renowned fashion competition, the “Total Look Award” in Toronto, Canada.
Since 2003, House of D’Marsh has grown into a lifestyle brand creating a synergistic blend of structure and design manifested in its couture and ready-to-wear collections. March splits his time between his two brands, D’Marsh Couture and the ready-to-wear line, D’M by D’Marsh, but skillfully manages his time to continue his work as a freelance stylist.
Since inception, D’Marsh Couture collections have graced runways in the Caribbean, the United States, Asia and Africa. Among the international shows the designer has appeared: Guangzhou International Fashion Week in China and Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week Accra in Ghana.
When asked why fashion, March says "It’s what I love... who I am... what I do best... what makes me happy. It’s my life. All I want to do in life, it’s what I think about. My joy stems from making people happy and feeling beautiful.”
