RETRO PHOTO SHOOT EXPERIENCE brings together Fashion and Industry in "FRESH" Way
Brooklyn, New York, 4/14/2018: Where can you find the cast of Grammy award winning musical, the creators of an acclaimed web series drama, and some of the most fashion forward of 2018 converge? This past Saturday, the Retro Photo Shoot Team joins up with DJ @SilkTheSmoothCriminal_2x of “Back 2 90’s” in a blast from the past warehouse event that excelled expectations and put retro style on the radar. Receiving photos (against customized backdrop) from the Retro Photo Shoot professionals, the guest embraced the appeal of the Retro experience as they left feeling like the stars. Between the bold statements in fashion and ingenious collaboration this is the start to a slammin’ Spring season.
“This event blew me away. Since the 90’s, Brooklyn has put New york style on the map. But I had no idea that such an eclectic group could gather so causally.”, Richard M. goes on to state, “ Imani and her team bringing their experience is exactly the addition the night needed, documenting this new New York wave. Given the amount of talent and art that showed up, this event transcended a party. It was like the Geneva convention of fresh ideas and creation! ”
Guests styled by the Retro team or in their favorite 90’s gear celebrated this break in the weather alongside cast members of Hamilton and the team behind Money and Violence making this event the “bomb” all through the balmy night. The over 200 guests were able to remain unique, a must as contemporary fashion attempts to fight blatant assimilation. Huffington Post gathered 16 to 18 percent of Americans will shop at a thrift store during a given year. Retro style is making a comeback in an all new way via the art, clothes, and pop up experiences like Retro Photo Shoot; it is in fact a “wave” of reinvigorated ideas that will be the essence of 2018 New York fashion and creative culture.
The Retro Photo Shoot Experience has not only added value to this event, but has become a representative of individuality through retro style. There is a huge market for vintage clothes, in fact the resale industry for the apparel and jewelry boasts annual revenues of close to $4 billion. Creatives at FYID NYC have captured an emerging market of experiences in tandem of the resale industry. This creative team is expanding all across New York and will be a great brand to check out this summer with new projects involving new venues, retro makeup tutorials and outdoor activities. Buying vintage supports individuality, the Retro Photo Shoot Experience supports individuals.
